Keren’s story

Hello again, lovely to see you here. I'm Keren Wigley and this is my story ....

About fifteen years ago, I was enjoying a demanding corporate career (spanning about thirty years) in the Public Service and Health Industry. I was married with two beautiful daughters, and I certainly experienced the cascading effect of stress and pressure of trying, usually unsuccessfully, to balance a family and a career.

At about this time, I attended a Reiki weekend workshop and something shifted. Over the next few years I continued studying spiritual development and went on to become a Reiki MasterTeacher and Meditation Teacher. As a relaxing hobby, I began teaching Reiki and working with others as a spiritual healer. As I look back, I realize that I was also healing myself.

Although I loved exploring energy, healing with Reiki, and sharing it with others, I knew there was so much more and felt inexplicably drawn to the healing sciences. I started winding down my corporate role, working part-time, and established a small spiritual healing practice. In 2006 I came across Kinesiology at the Mind Body Spirit Festival in Melbourne and attended a free training session at the Australian College of Complementary Medicine.

I learnt the power of communicating directly with the body and subconscious, bypassing the conscious mind to get to the underlying cause of dis-harmony in the bodymindspirit. I knew at a deep level that this was what I had been looking for. And so began my journey.

I asked myself "What do you want to be doing in five years time?". The answer was very clear, and it definitely wasn't in the corporate arena. I took a huge leap of faith, left the corporate world and became a student, undertaking a two year Diploma of Health Sciences in Holistic Kinesiology in 2007. This provided training in Kinesiology techniques, Anatomy and Physiology, Communications and Counselling, Nutrition, Energetic Sciences and Traditional Chinese Medicine concepts of energy flow and the use of acupressure. I also completed the upgraded Diploma of Kinesiology HLT 51507 in 2011.

These practical sciences of anatomy, physiology, nutrition, wellness models and Traditional Chinese Medicine concepts, provided a unique and powerful means of assisting a client to achieve and maintain optimal wellness and experience the tranquility of balance and harmony in all areas of their being.

In the years that followed, I continued studying healthcare modalities, becoming a qualified Hyperton-X practitioner, Hypnotherapist, NLP Practitioner, Smoking Cessation Specialist and recently, a Weight Management Specialist.

I also became intrigued with the relationship between what we put in and on our bodies and our mental states, and how we feel emotionally and physically. The role of nutrition in healing is something I continue to explore and I am a great advocate of Phillip Day's work.

I guess, in summary, that my healthcare studies, together with my corporate background in training, management and empowering others to reach their full potential, allows me to bring a very deep level of knowledge and experience to my work with others, enabling them to achieve profound and long-lasting change.

I believe that anyone can change whatever they want in their life, and I am passionate about helping them to do so.

If you are ready to take that step forward, you don't have to do it alone. Sometimes working with someone who understands and has the extra skills and experience that you need can make the difference between frustration and achievement, depression and joy.
