Were you hug-deprived in 2020?
That human connection is an integral part of our being. We are tribal creatures. So many of us sought solace in connection via social media, and online chats, but it's just not the same as face-to-face, is it! It's the same with learning something. Some things can easily be learnt online, but others are more effective in a hands-on environment. Reiki is one of these. I have seen plenty of online Reiki courses offered, and I have spoken to, and worked with, plenty of people who have learnt Reiki online. And there is something missing. Something fundamental.
To be very honest, doing Reiki in an online course, or a Zoom course is just not the way that Reiki was ever meant to be taught.
Have you been considering learning Reiki? If so you may also have been experiencing some confusion about the best way to learn. There is an abundance of online courses available to learn Reiki (some very affordable, and some quite ridiculously priced) and probably not so many real-time opportunities, especially because of COVID19.
With online courses there is a risk of treating Reiki the same as other online courses - something to be learnt about, a procedure to follow and something else to put into your CV. That's not what Reiki is all about. Reiki is like Yoga, a way of life and a personal spiritual discipline.
Many of those who have learnt Reiki online have also not experienced the personal shifts, connections and gentle opening of energy channels that gradually evolve following a hands-on Reiki course. This takes time, and is the reason that there is a 2-3 month wait between different Reiki levels. To do each level too quickly does not allow time for this gentle and gradual development, and each level builds upon the one before, deepening your experience and understanding of Reiki.
What you get with an online Reiki course:

- You will get the knowledge of Reiki.
- You will learn the hand positions
- You will learn how to perform a Reiki session
- Yes, you will learn how to become a Reiki practitioner
- Yes, you will be able to practice Reiki if you qualify.
But learning Reiki using an online Reiki course is like trying to learn to swim, or ride a bike, from a book or a video!
It is very difficult to convey the sacredness and profoundly life-changing experiences that come with learning this sacred, timeless, healing modality of Reiki unless you are experiencing it for yourself in a supported and guided environment.

HANDS-ON is the ONLY way to fully immerse yourself in Reiki and take yourself to the next level in your personal and spiritual development.
As restrictions are lifting, so too comes the opportunity to participate in a real, hands-on Reiki course.
So I decided to offer hands-on Reiki courses again because there is a real need for it. Learning to work with, and FEEL energy is just SO experiential, and the connection to something greater than yourself is a very life-changing and personal experience. A real, hands-on course gives you the opportunity to truly experience the power and unconditional love of Reiki.
